Because the author and her spouse are close personal friends I bought a hard copy of the book to show to all who visit my new home in NOLA and brag on my friend. It was the most perfect book for me as I have traumatic brain injury secondary to multiple childhood concussions and a craniotomy. I had stopped reading as my blurry eyesight and memory decline are frequently severe, comparable to someone 30 years older than I am.This book could not have been more perfect to fulfill my therapists' goal for me to read again. It was light, dynamic and highly memorable. I could not wait to find out what progress Buddy Lou and her quirky friends had made in solving her mystery.
Thank you my lovely friend for once again you have graced my life with a gift. Your friendship is one of the brightest spots in my life.
I am now back into more difficult reads but am awaiting the next Furr novel which I will read with gusto as soon as it's available.

Great book, easy read, makes you wanting to see what happens next. Took 2 days start to finish, I've passed my copy on to several others and it's moved on from there. Now i need to buy another copy
I have seen a few excerpts from this book prior to its release; just ordered it today and can't wait to read!!
I loved this book. Great story that brings you in from the very first page. Fast paced and well-written, it is both entertaining and heart-wrenching. It takes you on a journey through the eyes of a likable young woman whose world is turned upside down by unforeseeable events. Funny at times, the characters are well-rounded and you can't help but root for them. The easy style of writing makes this page turner one that you will surely want to finish in one sitting. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of mysteries, romances, period novels, or woman's literature. Give this new author a try, you won't be disappointed!
Reach Into The Darkness was a very enjoyable read. Memorable characters Buddy Lou, Aunt Zelda and Stryker validate unconditional love, strength and determination. Charlie’s hunger for truth reveal dreadful circumstances and injustice. Eccentric friendships and a step back in time make this author’s first book unforgettable.
I loved this read, full of twists and turns and some of the characters were hysterical...I am reading it again just because it is "that good"! I would highly recommend this book...an easy read leaving you wanting more...will there be a sequal?! I cant wait to read more from this author!
